Happy 20th Kelsie.

my second day in Hawaii was spent celebrating this cute girl. we made her banana pancakes in bed then had a taxi pick us up and take us to Lahaina's front street.

at Lahaina we shopped, got kels a free birthday face scrub, and then went to Koa's Grill where we ate birthday lunch over the ocean.

(isn't she the cutest?!)

a BLT (with avocado's) and sweet potato fries... it didn't disappoint.

after lunch we hopped on a boat and went PARASAILING. 1200 feet up in the air wasn't too shabby. such a great afternoon.

later that night we met up with other interns from del sol and cariloha for dinner at the monkey pod.

grateful to have kels in my life. she has the funnest personality and she knows how to make anything funny. 90% of the time that i'm with her is spent laughing. she also has such a caring heart and always wants those around her to be pleased and content. love you k maughn. i'm glad we could spend your birthday together in HAWAII.

Hawaii part one.

we stayed in Kehei while in hawaii, it was quite the perfect area. on our first morning we woke up, threw on swim suits and walked to "wow wow lemonade" for acai bowls. acai bowls are yummy here in utah; but i can honestly say that i've never tasted one like this before. i think the big coconut clusters on top may of  just been what won me over. best acai bowls. EVER.

from wow wow lemonade we walk right on over to the beach. i'm convinced i was living a dream the past 8 days.

later that night after the beach and naps we went and got shaved ice. once again, all shaved ice is good, BUT nothing tops the shaved ice in hawaii. they topped it with toasted coconut, and that it may of been what won me over...... (sound familiar??) i'm a die hard coconut girl.

cute picture of me and chlo girl on one of our afternoons on Lahaina's front street.

one of my favorite beaches that we went to was Ka'anapali Beach (aka Black Rock Beach.) they had awesome snorkeling and huge rocks for cliff jumping. while sitting on the shore at Ka'anapali we watched the prettiest sunset. the clouds were purple and pink; the sky looked just like cotton candy. i think i could've stayed right there for 10 more lifetimes and been perfectly content.

Portland Oregon.

i've been MIA the past little bit because i was busy basking in the sun in hawaii and loving every last minute of life. get ready for photo overload.

me & chlo flew out on sunday the 8th where we had a quick layover in seattle, then a long 7 hour layover in portland. we decided to make the most of those 7 hours so we hopped on a $2 shuttle that took us straight to the city and we did a bit of exploring.

we walked around a cute little market and then found ourselves in voodoo donuts for lunch. maybe i just tried the wrong donuts, but i would take dayling or krispy kreme over voodoo anyday. am i crazy?! in my opinion it was nothing to write home about. i hope to be back in portland some day to try a different donut and to hopefully have a better experience.

the rainy city was ghetto and sketch dog - but cute all at the same time. we had fun walking around, however, we had more fun hopping on the 3rd and final plane of our day to our sunny & warm paradise.

Halloween 2015

halloween is one of my all time favorite holidays(...i think i say that every holiday...) i just love all holidays! i think that's because my body remembers things better then my mind does and there's just something about the atmosphere and the feeling in the air on holiday's that i associate with such good memories. long story short, holiday's make me a happy person.

me and my cute mama both work at doterra together and so we decided to tag team our costume this year. we went as little bo peep and the lost found sheep. we'd been planning on this costume for awhile, but being the procrastinators that we are we put off getting our costumes ready until about a week before halloween day. majority of last week i spent all my free time hot gluing cotton balls onto a vest and a beanie for my mama's sheep costume. i ended up being quite proud of how it turned out, isn't my mom the cutest?

the little bo peep costume didn't take as much effort as the sheep costume. the main part of the costume (the dress) was all ready to go! it was an old dance costume that i wore when i was in the 4th or 5th grade....(did i just admit that?! yikes!)

i wore this dress when i was a little mademoiselle in the nutcracker. i was happier then you could imagine getting to walk under the giant dress being worn by the man on stilts. i wore this costume again in 7th grade for halloween when i was a 'princess' so this dress has continued to serve a lot of purposes. i'm excited for my little girls to play dress up in it someday.

i borrowed everything else from friends, attached a few ruffles around the bottom of the bloomers, and was ready to go.

me and "my team" at work.

my mom and her cute preschool class at their halloween party.

friday night i went to a dance party at the village, friday overall felt a lot more like halloween, probably because that's when everyone actually had school/work. saturday my mom made creamy chicken noodle soup (tradition) and i helped passed out candy, later that night i went to a dance party on provo center street. both parites i opted for something a little more feasible to dance in then my little bo peep costume, all black, devil horns, and red lipstick it was!

last but not least the cutest cowgirl, cat, and cow you ever did see.
