microbladed.

two weeks ago i got my eyebrows microbladed, hello no more drawing on those dang brows every morning!

i've contemplated for the last couple of years if permanently make up (specifically on my eyebrows) was something i wanted to do or not and i finally made a decision; i don't regret my decision it in the slightest.

memorial day cabin trip.

this post is long overdue, but better late then never right?? for memorial day weekend we decided to have a girls weekend up at our family cabin.

we arrived late friday night and were caught off guard with how cold it was. the heater doesn't work up there, so we turned on the oven and opened it up and boiled pots of water on the stove, we then hovered over the stove and oven to keep warm haha.

thankfully we all kept real warm at night thanks to nice sleeping bags and lots of bundling.
in the morning we woke up and ate breakfast while watching meet the robinsons. in the middle of our movie watching we had a little mishap with the water. my mom may or may not have broken a pipe resulting in us having to turn the water off altogether haha. oh man, note to self: don't let a 3 girls be the first ones up to the cabin for the year. we'll be sure to let the men do the de-winterizing next year!

after meet the robinsons we on walk, while out on our walk we encountered a baby moose - which was frightening. we couldn't see the mom and we knew there's not much worse then being inbetween a mama moose and her baby, not too long ago my brother got charged up a tree by a moose and ending up having to shoot it. those things are mean! while my mama and lex scurried away i stayed back to take pictures. i'm always taking one for the team!

we got back to the cabin, made BLT's for lunch, packed up and headed home. we could've stuck it out with no heat, but no heat and no water seemed like a bit too much. our trip was much shorter then anticipated, but it was still sweet! it's always nice to speed time up there, and it was a sure adventure non the less.

roommate.

as you may remember from this post, i currently have a little roommate (and techinically two roommates if you count my sweet kitty mable) the other night mable was cuddling with me and in the middle of the night pais climbed into my bed; mable ditched me to sleep with paisley. i probably would've been jealous and butt hurt if they didn't look so sweet together. BUT, despite how cute it was, they are each such bed hogs on their own, them together? the worst. good thing i love them though.

every morning my alarm goes off and paisley stays asleep while i quietly slip out of my room to go get ready. every now and then she'll wake up while i'm in the middle of getting ready & i'll take her up to her parents room and she'll climb back in bed with her mama. one morning awhile ago pais came out in the hallway and told me she wanted to stay with me. she watched me as i curled my hair and put on my make up and talked to me the whole time.

oooh this girl. she makes my heart swell.

as i was looking over pictures old pictures on my camera roll i realized i had so many that i hadn't shared on here, so here's a blog post full of random unseen pictures from the last little while.

girls date night.

on saturday morning my brothers woke up at the crack of dawn and left the house for a day of hiking, they didn't get back until late saturday night so me, my sisters, and nieces decided to have a little "girls day"

it was a pretty simple day! full of walks, baby showers, cleaning, and lastly some dinner and shopping. we took advantage of the picky eaters being away and we headed to happy sumo at the riverwoods for some sushi. 

and of course dinner wouldn't be complete without our camo backpack full of princess toys!

after eating we spent a while making wishes and throwing coins into the water fountain. once we left the riverwoods we made a quick trip to target (because what's a girls night without some target?) 

as much as we love the boys in our family, it's nice to get girl date nights every now and then.

farewell lisa lou.

 this week one of my greatest friends will be headed to the provo MTC to begin her service to our lord as a missionary as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. from the MTC she'll head out to the Vancouver Washington mission where she will serve for 18 months. 

lisa is such an amazing friend, i'm going to miss having her down the street from me (and not just because of her big beautiful pool of hers ;) ) lisa is someone who is ALWAYS there to talk to. i know i can walk to her house and she'll be there with open arms waiting for me to vent.

 lis has a solid testimony and such a pure countenance. she is such an inspiration to me and i can't wait for the people of washington to get her beautiful soul for a year and a half.
