I've been selling LipSense for about a month now and oh my goodness i'm hooked!

I'm a full blown lipstick lover, always have been! And this stuff is a game changer. As much of a lipstick addict as I am, sometimes wearing it does get a little obnoxious and it isn't always super comfortable.

Alison's Shell Yes!

Last Wednesday i got to go to The Alison Show's "Shell Yes" party and i've been on cloud 9 ever since.

If you aren't familiar with Alison she's basically a QUEEN who lives in Provo Utah who is known for her all female dance parties. This "merbabe" party was the first party of hers that I've been to; but i'm set on never missing another one again! 

The first party I ever saw my friends posting pictures of was "Alison's Cabana Boogie" it looked awesome, but and I had no idea what it was. Since then she's done "Alison's Gem Jam: A Dance Party for Ladies Who Rock" and "Alison's Hip Hop Hooray." Through some stalking i've come across her other parties too and they all looked like too much dang fun! After experiencing one for myself, I can vouch that Alison is a GENIUS. 

Not only was it decorated perfectly (and full of SO many perfect backdrops/photo ops) everyone got the cutest custom made totes full of treats and goodies. PLUS, there were free Lick'd Popsicle's, Acai Bowls, and Sodalicious all night. And who wouldn't want to wear glitter on their face?!

All of that was just the "cherry on top" The greatest part of it all was the fact that I was at a giant dance party full of moms and pregnant woman dressed as mermaids. #DanceYourShellsOff. Everyone went all out, no one held back, and it felt GOOD to let loose and be crazy. I love dance parties. Who knew one full of woman all 18 and older could be so dang fun.

I had so much energy, and dancing like a lunatic to Ciara and Missy Elliot only boosted my energy. So me and Kaitlyn had another dance party on the car ride home.

Overall, we had a flipping FINtastic time as we danced our troubles into bubbles.

blackhawk campground.

last year my family and i took a little weekend camping trip to blackhawk campground (right by payson lakes) as you may remember from this post. we had such a great time we decided to "re-create" the trip this year.

this year we were fortunate enough to have lex home from her mission, so she was able to join us! we were also unfortunate enough to have my dad and j bail to summit timp, and to have heather bail to do what ever she wanted to do (lol. love you heath) SO it was a trip for three; but we had the best time! (a seriously way better time then i expected/planned on)


i chopped wood with an ax (and felt way accomplished, even though me playing with/swinging the ax around made my mom so nervous haha, can't blame her) once it was dark we roasted smores, got ready for bed, then played card games in our tent with our headlights on.

the next morning we woke up, played more card games while eating breakfast, then we went to the lake! we took a little "ride" around the lake in our raft, went for a walk, and brought things to make bagel sandwiches for our picnic!



it was the perfect little camping trip full of laughs, inside jokes, streaking (okay.... i might be the only one who did that) and lots of crazy, hyper energy (mostly on my part once again. oops)

independence day.

happy 4th of july (cue alllll the festive outfits) my day started with a hot breakfast out of the oven thanks to my mama; breakfast was followed by a nice long hike to horse tail falls. 

after our hike i spent a couple of hours at the pool.

after swimming and a shower we had a BBQ with my immediate family. lastly, we walked down to the church park to watch P.G. cities fire work show. my family has been going to that firework show every 4th of july since the beginning of time and it never disappoints! we always leave extremely impressed with how well they do.



this year i've felt more grateful then ever before for this country, our freedom, and the significance that the 4th of July holds. it's cool how the older you get the more you understand and appreciate meaningful life changing events like this one. i truly am so proud to be an american; i love this country of ours and i'm grateful for the men who fight to protect us. #americapride #letfreedomring
