senior pictures.

this post is over a year due? yeah.
to be honest, i didn't even realize i hadn't ever posted my senior pictures on here until recently! not that anyone really cares, but i like having things like that on here simply for documenting purposes.
so, in honor of high school ending a year and a month ago for me..... here are a lot of some of my senior pictures.
for anyone getting pictures done for whatever occasion, the biggest advice i would give you is GET YOUR MAKE UP PROFESSIONALLY DONE. it seriously made the biggest difference and was worth every single penny.
cute braadyn ward took these pictures and she is a genius behind the camera!

strawberry days.

strawberry days is one of the best weeks of the year here in pleasant grove city. this year i missed out on a bunch of the festivities and i'm so bummed about that!i didn't make it to the concert in the park because it was the same night that we had tickets to the little mermaid, and i also didn't make it to the parade because i was babysitting that morning, i thought about taking the boys i nanny for out to the parade but it was too hot outside anyways.

i chose not to go to the carnival (like always) it's disgusting and full of germs and motion sick teenagers, but i got to see my little nieces head off to the carnival. pais picked out her own outfit and it was very strawberry days appropriate, such a cutie!
luckily i made it to the rodeo, which is always the highlight of strawberry days for me!
this year my brother didn't do wild cow milking, which was a relief knowing none of my flesh and blood would be injured; but i'll admit that a part of me wishes i could watch him do it again haha. paisley is still smitten from watching her dad last year and she still requests to play "wild cow milking." tyler will tie a rope to his belt loop and his girls will run around chasing him trying to hold onto the rope, he'll then pretend to "stomp" on their shoulders. it's so funny how good kids memories are!
hopefully next year i'll get all the festivities in and eat some strawberries and cream.

under the sea.

last week me and the girls of the family (minus nicole and baby maycie) went to the scera shell to watch the play "The Little Mermaid."
play's are one of my favorite things to do with my mom and sisters; the fact that it was an outdoor summer play made it even better, the cherry on top was that it was a Disney play!
this was paisley's first play and she loved it! she especially loved when they sang "kiss the girl." she was SO thrilled to go meet the cast members afterwards, but of course she was as shy as could be (we weren't surprised - she's a stink sometimes)
the worst was scuttle... she was terrified and burst into tears and started screaming haha, she might just be a little dramatic. but her new favorite pictures are the ones of me and scuttle, she laughs and laughs at them.

fingers crossed that we make it to Peter Pan at Tuacahn!

happy fathers day.

yesterday we celebrated fathers day....
i always feel so blessed to have the dad that i do. he's the goofiest, silliest, sometimes real stubborn guy. i'm grateful to have a dad who protects me, looks out for me, always has my back, and quotes Michael Scott with me. after drill performances he'd always sit down with me and tell me my team needed to straighten our lines and stay in our formation, i love how seriously he'd take it because he knew how much it meant to me. from football coach to dance coach, what can't he do?! on top of all that my dad is one of the funnest dudes i know. when i was in elementary school he'd come eat lunch with me and my friends in the cafeteria and play trivia games with us. he'd always bring starburst to reward whoever could guess what lines came from what movies first; i remember once one of my friends wanted to hold his hand at recess and i was so jealous because he was MY dad (second grade drama ya know.) he's always been a kid at heart and that's why my nieces prefer him over anyone else (and you know how hard that is for me to admit because paisley is my sidekick.) he's support has shaped me into the person i am today.
not to mention, he use to ask for hot wheels, play dough, and barbies for his birthday's so he'd have more toys to play with his kids with and he hasn't grown out of it! now as a grandpa he's asking for "frozen" bubbles and princess crowns. how much better can grandpa's get? (maybe that's why he's the favorite)
love this guy a whole lot. happy father's day to the worlds best b(papa bear)oss.
